200k Plus On My Team This Year! {Daily Story of Asskickery & Truth for December 16, 2015}

I remember back in 2009 when I hired my first online assistant for my then baby blog which I’d started in 2007.

I was getting flooded with emails and had a whole bunch of stuff that needed prettying up and PDFing for some workshops I was running, and didn’t want to do it myself. (Not much has changed there).

I wasn’t making enough money from my blog to even cover my expenses (which were also minimal) but it just seemed the smart thing to do to pay an assistant before I paid myself.

It never occurred to me ‘will this online thing work?’… Of course it was going to work! I’d decided it was going to work! It wasn’t even an arrogant knowledge, it was just an assumption.

I would keep going until it worked.

BIG time.

So it was a no-brainer to take money from my then offline biz as a personal trainer and spend it on an assistant. I saw that the value of my time was NOT in doing 300+ emails a day (my blog was super popular due to how raw and real I’ve always been).

The same year I also gave birth to my first child, and hired my first housekeeper.

Again: no brainer on the latter. Even though we were financially stretched as my husband had just opened a new restaurant there was no way it was going to be ME cleaning the house!

Not with a new baby underway and shit to write! Even though I I wasn’t getting PAID to write my blog it was just what I HAD to do. All I wanted to do, really.

Since then I’ve always invested heavily before I was ready. Some would say over invested. I estimate I’ve now spent over half a million dollars learning and being supported by the BEST online (and off). Mostly on credit. I racked up 100k debt at my best!

I’ve also made several million dollars, and have sustained an 80-100k+ average income per month for over 18 months now. I hit multi 6-figs late 2012, the same year I went all in on premium support.

Living location free, with 2 small kids underfoot. Doing what I LOVE as well, which is to write, speak, and kick massive amounts of ass.

There is ZERO question here as to which came first:

I’m where I am because I see what’s possible, I decide I’m going to get it, then I DO THE WORK.

Doing the work often includes INVESTING in the support or accountability or learning I need. Usually all three!

To this day I ALWAYS pay others before I pay me. I see this as a GOOD thing because in paying those who support me I elevate my progress!

Today I am super excited to share that my latest hire is a House Manager! I feel like this is the coolest hire I’ve ever made even though I’m not quite sure what it is. But I LIKE it a lot!!

This year I’ve spent over 200k on my team.

Would you spend 200k a year.. 500k before you were even where you wanted to go… To learn how to make millions and live life FULLY on your terms, not to mention create the space and freedom and support to do so?

You’d be crazy not to.

IF you believe.

Now all I need is a home to go with the House Manager. Just on a side note haha. As am currently still homeless living out of a carry on suitcase; 2 years location free.

But that’s a story for another day.

Moral of this one?

You get to create your reality. And it’s a DAMN fine thing when you do!
